Resources available (edit) Take Care is Greater Wellywet's community environmental programme. Through Take Good Care , the council makes financial support and specialist assistance available to community groups that want to look after their local environment. There are opportunities for individuals, groups and businesses to work on environmental projects that contribute to the health and restoration of our region's most threatened ecosystems, including the following:
Groups supported through Take Good Care do it all; from weed removal to re-vegetation. Sometimes from bare ground to thriving ecosystem. If getting down and dirty and planting trees isn't your thing there are many other ways you can become involved with a care group: helping care group meetings run smoothly, publishing a newsletter, creating a website for a care group, running community awareness programmes or working with schools. Funding available (edit) Funding is available for up to a five year period. Up to $3,000 in the first year, $5,000 in the second, third and fourth years and $1,000 in the final year.
